Chol Hamoed Gallery in CH Features Chabad Artists
In its first of a kind show, a gallery of contemporary Jewish art went on display in Crown Heights, featuring the work of a slew of Chassidic artists who use their spiritual convictions to influence and guide their art.
The gallery came about through the work of Shliach Rabbi Yitzchok Moully, himself an artist, who had met with Dovid Ariel, an artist from Venice, Italy, who wanted to showcase his art. “When we were discussing the possibilities, one thing led to another and the idea of a gallery which would feature many artists was born” said Moully.
After putting out a call to artists – unsure of the response he would get – he was surprised with the amazing feedback from local artisans.
Moully rented a vacant storefront located at 368 Kingston Avenue for the duration of Chol Hamoed, where the work of twenty artists is featured and available for sale. The gallery is open from 12:00pm – 2:00am.
Among the artists on display are:
Dovid Ariel of Italy, Yitzchok Bloom of Crown Heights, Natalia Kadish of North Jersey, Michelle Leiberman of Crown Heights, Yitzchok Moulley of Basking Ridge; NJ, Michoel Muchnick of Crown Heights, Rivka Seigel of Crown Heights, Yocheved Sideoff of Crown Heights, Anita Sobel of Crown Heights, Sarah Stone of Crown Heights, and Esther Zibell of Crown Heights.
For more information on the show and gallery contact Rabbi Yitzchok Moully at (908) 448-1417 or visit his website at MoullyArt.com.

Hey, you skipped the fabulous Chava Light from New Haven!
Not the First One
This is the second one. The First is just across the Kingston – has been there for 8 years already.

Everyone should run, not walk, to catch this show while it is still up. The art is outstanding. I would love to see this show travel, and I would dearly love to see a permanent art space like this in Crown Heights. Thank you so much for featuring this, Crown Heights Info!
