Lubavitcher Wins Jewish Press Home Competition

A Crown Heights mother won a contest featuring a ‘beautiful home’ in the Jewish Press’s Bayit Ne’eman magazine. Rivka Teich was selected from among a large number of entries, and her home was featured in the magazine.

From the magazine:

“Rivka Teich is a full-time court reporter and mother of five living in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. To walk into her home is to enter another world, a happy and enveloping atmosphere. Surely she has a talented designer and decorative painter at her disposal? No. Teich, an artist by hobby, if not by trade, has painted every room in her house and repainted many when the mood suits her.

The gorgeous tile work on the entry to the dining room, Teich ordered the tiles, designed the layout and placed them herself. Surely she come from a family of artists and was exposed to do-it-yourself ethos from a young age; no, again.

“Paint is $25 a gallon,” Teich insists. “Just try it. Don’t go with what colors are in season. Do whatever makes you feel good, because you’re the one who lives there. If it doesn’t come out right, you can just repaint it. “

    the house looks weird i like the dizzy laidy and the cat, what is all the chat bwt “rivka” and fancy nancy“ etc. i think from experience the other rooms are nice where are those pix like the master bedroom (brown, bubbles…) boys room (maps,soon to be magic)hinda(girly) estte (diffrent) the liveing room brown and grey strips and the ”hand made lether” the bath room… well thats it ahere is the pix of rivka?
