Hundreds Attend Hatzalahs ‘Lchaim to Life’ Symposium

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Over 500 men and women packed in to the Jewish Childrens Museum this past Motzai Shabbos, to enjoy a glass of wine along with a hot buffet, as well as hearing lectures from renowned experts in the cardiovascular field.

The event began with words of inspiration and a Dvar Torah by Rabbi Yossi Jacobson, followed by greetings from Pamela S. Brier, president and CEO of Maimonides Medical Center.

The special guest speakers were Dr. Greg Ribakove, the director of Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Dr. Joshua Kerstein, the associate director of Cardiology.

After the conclusion of the presentation the raffle for the three iPads was held, and the winners were Chaim Freundlich, Yaakov Yoel Spielman, and Yitzchak Meir Frimmerman.

“It is amazing how many people turned out for the event and to support Hatzalah and Maimonides Hospital” said one of the event organizers, “thanks in no small part to the advertising CrownHeights.info provided for the event!”

Through its relationship with the hospital, Hatzalah can help make a stay much more comfortable and provide better services for paitents.

Yossi Jacobson is a great speaker, if you have something bad to say about him TELL IT TO YOUR KIDS!

The Masters (Rabbi Yossi Jacobson)jokes are Torah also .Some times if you are sentive to it the Jokes are deeper then what on the surface is Torah

  • Finally!

The CH community comes out to support Hatzala – the one organization that is politics free and does things like saving lives!

  • chayaF

    # 2 you are such an idiot, if all you think R. Jacobson is about jokes, go home and learn jokes with your kids, because that is the level you are on. Nebech on you.

It was a very nice affair last night. The DVAR TORAH was good and the two doctors presented very useful information. However, it was very fortunate that they used a loud speaking system. I cannot count the number of times the attendees were told ssh and quiet. Their inappropriate behavior ruined the evening for many with their unending chatter. Their act5ions last night presented to a visitor a picture of the very negative MEDOIS to be found among Crown Heights.

  • Love that cheese cake

It was informative and eye opening. Top it all off with delicious, high calorie, fattening, yummy cheese cake. It did wonders to my arteries.
Hatzala, keep up the good work. Thank goodness there were no calls last night.

Rabbi Yossi Jacobson does not aways want to talk etc most of his Crown Heghts talks are free and it is a burden on him some times to come out at all hours and performs at Shloshims ,fundraisers, going to prison fundraisers etc but becase of his love for the pepole he comes and gives what he can by talking

  • RIGHT ON

#9 right on the mark there are people that don’t appreciate anything and he came only for his selfish reasons to hear about his heart which he hardly has so he should of stayed home.

  • Calm down every one

My, my,……. Why are people so upset at comment
#2? the person only said what they felt…
Not everyone enjoys the same speaker, chef,
    school, resteraunt & ect…. Maybe they shouldn’t
have posted it, but they just wanted to share
their feelings…… If u enjoyed jacobson, good 4u,
the real world is, not everyone has the same likings!!!!

  • A women who posted comment #2

I apologize if I hit a nerve for many people.
I was only giving over my thoughts of how I
felt and the ladies sitting next to me. It’s a very
good thing to comunicate and talk about feelings,
were all adults and I have a right for my opinion, it
most definately is not many but were I come
from we talk about things and it’s ok to disagree…
Sorry if u don’t feel the same way….

  • Is there a Heter for Loshon Harah here??

Lady $2: Did you ever learn the Halochos of Loshon Hara? Since when is Loshon Hara permitted in the name of expressing feelings? You may remain anonymous to the website readers but Hashem has a way of knowing who we are and we can’t hide from him. Just some food for thought…
