Skullcaps are World Champions!

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — After 8 innings the Advantage Wholesale Skullcaps emerged as the Crown Heights Softball Leagues world champions, besting the Landmark Fundings Red Heifers 6-5.

The 29 game season came to a spectacular close, with large crowd of fans and former players watching, in extra innings of game three of the championships.

Early on the Heifers jumped to a 3 – nothing lead and held on to it into the 5th, where the Skullcaps grabbed the lead by scoring 4 runs, but a good hit by Dovid Stein coupled with a error allowed the Heifers to tie it up and it remained that way into the bottom of the 8th.

Beginning with a good hit by Laibel Hackner, moving a running into scoring position, and an amazing defensive changeup by the Heifers moving all their players infield in attempt to cut off the final run, but a hit by Nasoniel Nerenberg to first base scored the last run.
