MyMembers build Shtender for Tevel
In honor of the upcoming Shloshim of Rabbi Yossi Tevel on Thursday, 4 Adar, the members of MyShul built a shtender for their Shul and dedicated it to his memory.
As a tribute to their Yeshiva’s farbrenger, the boys chose to do something physical, using their hands to create something from which many boys will be able to benefit today and in the future. This wooden shtender is similar to the one used by Rabbi Tevel before his passing on 4 Shevat of this year, and will be used by future farbrengers. The shtender will be the latest addition to the MyShul, a recently established shtiebel for Crown Heights students that is run by the students themselves.
This workshop was organized by the children, was sponsored and instructed by Yaakov Sebbag of TheImperialGift.com.
MyShul, a Shul for kids, run by kids, has a Shul board complete with a Kid Rabbi, Gabbai and Shamash. MyShul is open to all boys who want a place to daven that they can call their own. For more information on MyOrganization visit www.MatureYouth.org.

A yasher koach to Rabbi Chaim Perl, great work!
Chaim is so humble, yet so effective. In the true spirit of Darchai Menachem.
We need projects like this to help children appreciate their own talents. This builds them up.
The idea of a shull for kids built by kids, is revolutionary and brilliant.
School is not only about learning knowledge, it should be a place where kids develop socially.
May we see many more projects like this here, and in other schools of ours.

Very Grateful Parent
I fully agree and second the motion as the previous commentator. Rabbi Perl has been generously providing Darchei Menachem with original ideas and projects for keeping our boys happy, safe and occupied in a healthy manner and environment.
But, I will add that in addition to all that Rabbi Perl has done and continues to do for this yeshiva, ALL staff members of Darchei Menachem are to be commended for their dedication and innovative approach to teaching.
Thank you Darchei Menachem for providing a safe haven (right here in Crown Heights where we don’t have to send boys away to yeshiva) for boys who need extra attention and care. I am praying that you will extend yeshiva for the oldest class, for at least one more year!(Some boys just need to be home an extra year before transferring to an out of town yeshiva, and the other wonderful in-town yeshivas don’t provide what these boys need.)
May Hashem bentch you all with kol tuv bgur in every way!
A freilachen Purim to all.

You kidding me?
These kids are using a nail gun without eye protection? You never stand on the side of a gun, always behind it. Nailers are not toys, someone could get seriously injured.

Wow!!! This is beautiful!!! Reb Yossi Tevel is forsure “klaibing nachas” his entire life was devoted to helping others with a special emphasis on our youth, he was the founder of the famous shterns yeshiva in upstate ny, he built a gorgeous mikva there especially for the bochurim, he sent up special food every week for the bochurim to have a fancy melava malka with lox, salads galore, a big variety of cakes…. all so the bochurim have b’harchova…
Reb Yossi Tevel will NEVER be forgotten!
He is in our hearts FOREVER!!!
We miss you and daven every day for your speedy return with moshiach on your side!!!
