CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Today, the 12th of Kislev, United Lubavitcher Yeshiva Crown Heights marked the Yohrtzeit of Rabbi Hershel Kotlarsky A”H.
Rabbi Kotlarsky was well-known for his tremendous involvement in Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim, for over 50 years. His devotion, care, and concern for the Yeshiva, its students, and finances was unparalleled.
In preparation for the Yohrtzeit, the children studied Mishnayos by heart, Leilui Nishmosoi, and accumulated tickets for their efforts. A Raffle was held, and one boy from each grade one a set of Mishnayos.
Joining the celebration was Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, and Rabbi Menachem Kotlarsky who sponsored the Mishnayos project.
The Menahel Rabbi Simpson addressed the students and introduced Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsy who spoke about his dear father and shared with the students of his father’s involvement in the Yeshiva since 1934.
After the raffle, Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky and Rabbi Menachem Kotlarsky handed out $2 bills to all of the students who participated in the learning in honor of Rabbi Kotlarsky A”H.
