Tanya Baal Peh Continues at ULY…

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Just weeks after 77 boys of Lubavitcher Yeshiva were honored for Memorizing an entire Perek of Tanya, as reported here on CrownHeights.info, more and more boys continue to finish the Perek. Today, an additional 6 boys, 3 of Kita Gimmel and 3 of Kita Alef were honored for completeing the entire first Perek baal peh.

Each boy recieved a certificate, a crisp $5 bill and one of the last Tanya left from that which the Rebbe gave out on Yud Shvat 5750. The awards were given by The Bas-Sheva Mitzvah Campaign to Greet Moshiach in Memory of the child Bas Sheva a”h bas Reb Mordechai Shlita Kanelsky.

We would like to wish a very big mazel tov to each one of these boys and may they continue to study and give much chassidishe nachas to their parents, grandparents and to the Rebbe.

What will the meaning of “The Tanya” be to these children?

Should young children be focusing their learning efforts on memorizing words by heart or on learning the lessons of the Tanya “ki Karov eilecha” self control etc. on their own Level?

There’s no second chance for a first impression.
