On Purim Koton Oholei Torah PTA Prepares for “Purim Godal”
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — The Oholei Torah’s Parents Association’s devotion to the school shines “Ad D’loyada” all year round. A group of Mothers, many of them with their husbands and children in tow, are literally working round the clock preparing thousands of Shalach Monos Baskets and 1,500 Achdus Baskets, going into their 10th successful year.

The Oholei Torah PTA Shaloch Monos Baskets is the top seller in Crown Heights and beyond. Recently, the PTA answered a need in the community by offering Achdus Baskets. For a nominal price, anyone, community members or out of town-residents can send shaloch monos to all their lists of neighbors, friends and community leaders in the Crown Heights area in a most beautiful and respectful manner.
Spearheaded by Tzippy Dalfin and Aida Junik, the Oholei Torah PTA has become a mossad in itself with very positive results for the talmidim. The Annual Raffle Campaign, Hey Teves Book Fair, Chanuka Wonderland and Purim Baskets are just a few of the ongoing programs that the PTA has successfully undertaken. All funds raised have directly benefited the talmidim with brand new lunch tables and benches, games, and state of the art sports equipment. This year libraries were dedicated in each of the 30 classrooms.
The PTA’s Board includes Devi Baumgarten, Chana Hartman, Chana Gorelik, Shuffi Telsner, Sara Popack, Ruthi Sperlin, Ahuva Fogelman, Chava Eber and many more dedicated parents who give so much of themselves for the betterment of the school.
Rabbi Joseph Rosenfeld, Executive Director of Oholei Torah told us, “The devotion, energy and dedication from the PTA permeates all the staff members of Oholei Torah, and gives us great encouragement. I would not have been able to achieve many of these important projects if it were not for these great mothers. I am proud to have them as an integral part of our yeshiva.”
