Serial “Mega” Package Thief Arrested in Crown Heights With Help From Shomrim

A serial package thief and burglar who has been terrorizing Crown Heights residents with a string of thefts has been arrested, thanks in part to the efforts of Crown Heights Shomrim and the NYPD’s 71st Precinct.
The suspect was taken into custody Friday afternoon following what Shomrim described as a successful collaboration with local police.
The individual had been the subject of a recent Shomrim alert identifying him as being wanted in connection with multiple thefts and other criminal activity in the neighborhood.
Shomrim members worked closely with officers from the 71st Precinct to help locate and apprehend the suspect.
