Hoax Call For A Fire Brings the FDNY to 770 Motzei Shabbos

A hoax call to 911 brought firefighters into 770 Motzei Shabbos as they searched the Shul’s basement for a fire that did not exist.
The call was made around 1:45am to 911 reporting a fire in the basement of 770 Eastern Parkway, bringing multiple fire apparatus and dozens of firefighters into the main Shul. After a short search, the firefighters deemed the call a hoax and left the building.
Another fire, this one real, was extinguished last night in Crown Heights after someone lit some garbage on fire in a Crown Heights alleyway. No one was injured and the incident is reportedly not being investigated as an arson.
