A terror attack at a Chabad event in Bondi Beach, Australia, took place Sunday, reportedly injuring at least one member of the local Chabad community.

While official details have not yet been released, video footage and preliminary reporting show two shooters, firing shotguns, attacked a Chabad Chanukah event.

The two terrorists were apprehended by police.

Update 5:07am: Statement from Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. Note: Not a single word mentions the victims in the attack were Jews celebrating a festival.

Update 5:01am: NSW Police Update – A police operation is ongoing after a public place shooting by two men at Bondi Beach earlier today.

Ten people have been confirmed dead, including a man believed to be one of the shooters. The second alleged shooter is in a critical condition.

At this time, a further 11 people are reported to be injured, two of which are police officers.

Update 4:59am: Chabad Israel’s spokesperson says that several Chabad Shluchim were among the injured.

Update 4:45am: The Chabad Shliach killed in the Bondi Beach terror attack has been named as Rabbi Eli Schlanger HY’D.

Update 4:37am: The event attacked was the “Chanukah by the Sea 2025” event put on by Chabad of Bondi Beach, and was reported to have nearly 1,000 in the area at the time of the attack.

Update 4:34am: Reports indicate at least 10 people have been killed, with over 60 people injured.
