Hate Spewing Man Arrested After Attacking Teen in Crown Heights

A man spewing antisemitic hate was arrested Monday night thanks to a collaboration between the NYPD, Hate Crimes Task Force, and Crown Heights Shomrim.

The NYPD had received a report from last week Sunday regarding a man who had accused a Lubavitch teen riding an electric scooter in Crown Heights, spitting at him and yelling antisemitic hate.

Crown Heights Shomrim was contacted and was able to provide images to the NYPD of the assailant, as the case was pushed up the chain to the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force.

Last night, the NYPD caught up with him in downtown Brooklyn, placing him under arrest.

Shomrim announced the arrest on social media, writing that “Last Sunday, this individual harassed and spat at a Jewish teenager in Crown Heights while shouting antisemitic hate. Today, thanks to the outstanding work of the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force and assistance from the Shomrim operations team, the perpetrator was arrested.”
