Package Thief Caught By Shomrim After Crime Spree

A Crown Heights criminal is facing the law Tuesday after he was caught red-handed stealing packages thanks to Shomrim.

The recidivist thief, who has been targeting the community, was on Crown Heights Shomrim’s radar when he began raiding porches in search of unattended packages. But as Crown Heights Shomrim pointed out, while “package thieves remain active — but so does Shomrim”.

“While many residents are away, package thieves remain active — but so does Shomrim,” Crown Heights Shomrim wrote on social media. “This repeat offender was spotted by a sharp-eyed volunteer and apprehended thanks to the swift collaboration between Shomrim and NYPD 71st Precinct.”

The thief, caught red-handed, admitted his crimes to the police and will now face a judge.
