Sticky Fingered Thief Arrested After The Theft of Expensive Laptop

Another thief is behind bars for the time being after stealing an expensive laptop in Crown Heights this week.

According to reports, the man – a worker of sorts in the building – had stolen an expensive laptop valued near $1,000. While not caught immediately, the owner was able to get access to proof that the man had in fact stolen in and called Crown Heights Shomrim.

“Shomrim received a call regarding an expensive laptop stolen from a local office,” Crown Heights Shomrim wrote on social media. “Thanks to outstanding surveillance and tracking by our operations team, followed by a sting operation, the laptop was recovered, and the suspect was arrested by @NYPD71pct.”

The thief showed back up Tuesday and was welcomed by the volunteers of Crown Heights Shomrim. Soon after the NYPD made the arrest.

While this may not be directly related to this incident, it is of interest – and humorous – to note that the thief was wearing a Gan Yisroel hat. If you are missing yours…..you never know.
