by CrownHeights.info

A Jewish man sitting inside his vehicle was carjacked at gunpoint Tuesday evening.

According to reports, the man was sitting in his vehicle on Union Street when two carjackers came to his windows brandishing a handgun and demanding he hand over his keys. The Jewish man complied, leaving his phone and keys and running away as the two sped off with his car.

The Jewish man quickly flagged down a passing person and called Shomrim and the police, who despite extensively searching the area, were unable to locate the vehicle.

Shomrim volunteers worked to obtain video footage of the incident and handed them over to the NYPD detectives who responded to the scene.

He should have the phone tracked to locate the car since the phone was in the car

We did try tracking the phone but was not successful. There were very capable and tech savvy volunteers on hand. We did recover the air pods 2 miles away. The Brooklyn Robbery squad is working on this as well.
