Police Identify Man Wanted In Crown Heights Hate Crime

NYPS Crime Stoppers has published the identity of a wanted man who assaulted and robbed a Jewish man in Crown Heights in December of last year.

According to the NYPD, on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at approximately 1935 hours, in front of 906 Eastern Parkway, 35-year-old Daniel Blanchard approached a 40-year-old male dressed in traditional Jewish attire and repeatedly punched the victim in the head before and forcibly removed his cell phone, and while doing so, making an anti-Jewish statement.

Blanchard then into the Kingston Avenue and Eastern Parkway station and the victim transported to Mount Sinai Beth Israel in stable condition.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force has been investigating this as an anti-Jewish incident.
