Police and FDNY EMS personnel and began treating the victim, police asked for a description of the person that attacked him to which he refused to give details saying that it was a simple misunderstanding. He then asked EMS personal to let him go, and that he did not want to go the hospital saying that the wound ‘was nothing’, but due to the severity of the injury they transported him to Kings County Hospital.
Police asked bystanders from the crowd if they had witnessed the incident and were looking into security cameras in the area for clues as to the identity of the assailant.
Sam
Everyone should know that this building is owned by Sam Popack, the guy who loves to say “Sam, he’s white on the outside but black on the inside”.
This building is ONE of the worst, if not THE worst in Crown Heights, cops themselves don’t like going there, when there are calls there the ‘residents’ throw glass bowls down at the cops and even emergency medical personnel, I’ve seen it myself.
This story shows how much crime the place attracts, as this incident happened in the store under the building.
I think someone should go and ring Popack’s bell or break one of his front windows each time there is an incident there, maybe he would clean up shop. Then again why should he? This building is only in the center of the community, splitting East New York from the rest of the neighborhood… no big deal about crime there, right?

Sam you are absolutely right with your point. We who live south of Lefferts call that block the Bronx. He really has to rid the building of the troubled tenants. It would only increase the value, as he will be able to increase rents. Their is no reason why a local Crown Heightser can not run a building in his OWN community better then the way he currently does; and show a little bit respect for the community.
