Stolen Vehicle Recovered With The Help of Four Shomrim Divisions

by CrownHeights.info

What do the the Shomrim Divisions of Boro Park, Williamsburg, Crown Heights, and Flatbush all have in common? They are all up at 3:00am helping a fellow Jew.

The request for additional help came out from Boro Park at approximately 3:00am Motzei Shabbos as the “B” was tracking a stolen vehicle making its way through Brooklyn. Passing down Bedford Ave from Williamsburg towards Crown Heights, Shomrim volunteers from both Williamsburg and Crown Heights hopped in their vehicles and began hone in on the vehicle.

The 2023 Black Nissan Rogue SUV, originally had New Jersey plates, but by this time had undoubtably had its plates swapped out, so the volunteers used its GPS tracking to identify the vehicle.

It didn’t take too long.

As the vehicle reached the Flatbush, a Crown Heights Shomrim volunteer caught up to a car matching the description of the stolen Black Rogue but with Texas plates, a suspicious sign for New York City.

Tracing the Texas plates back to a 2014 BMW, the volunteers knew they had found the stolen vehicle and called 911.

In the area of Ave W x E24 the police arrived and made a vehicle stop. Suffice it to say that the driver of the stolen vehicle was soon cuffed and enjoying a very different kind of ride to the 61st NYPD Precinct.
