Teenage Vandal Arrested In Crown Heights

by CrownHeights.info

In an arrest story straight out of a comic book, a teenager was placed in cuffs after vandalizing multiple vehicles and trying to bluff his way past Crown Heights Shomrim and the police.

The teen, part of a larger group leaving a loud party Motzei Shabbos, decided that breaking car windows and mirrors was a good idea, and went ahead targeting multiple vehicles. One of the car owners, who witnessed as the slightly intoxicated group targeted his vehicle, called Crown Heights Shomrim and 911.

Arriving two minutes later, the Shomrim volunteers easily found the rowdy group who had not made it very far from the scene, and after identifying the one of the group who had actually broken the mirrors, engaged them in conversation and kept him on scene.

Attempting to bluff their way out of the situation, one teen claimed that his grandfather was a high level officer in the NYPD, a claim the Shomrim volunteers used to convince the teens to stay on scene to convince the responding officers of their innocence.

You can just imagine the Shomrim volunteers surprise when the vandal, feeling “threatened” decided to call the police on the Shomrim volunteers, simply expediting the officers response. When the officers did arrive at Lincoln Pl and Kingston Ave, they quickly placed the teen under arrest.
