NYPD Publishes Wanted Poster For Man Seen Spraying “Palestine” Graffiti on Mitzvah Tank

The New York City Police Department is taking the graffiti of a Chabad Mitzvah Tank in Manhattan seriously, asking the public’s assistance to identify the individual seen in the crime.

As was previously reported in CrownHeights.info, on Friday, October 28, 2022, at approximately 1700 hours, an unidentified male sprayed the word “Palestine” in black paint on the “Mitzvah Tank” van parked in front of 575 Broadway. The male individual then fled on foot to parts unknown. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

Following the incident, Rabbi Yehuda Pevsner, who runs the Mitzvah Tank, said “Yesterday late evening we were alerted that our state of the art mitzvah tank was graffitied in a hateful attack while parked in the heart of Soho on Broadway. The NYPD is taking this very seriously and we thank them for the strong response. We will keep you updated as the investigation continues.”

The unidentified individual is described as a male, light skin complexion and approximately in his 20’s.
