Man Arrested in Crown Heights After Pulling A Knife on A Jewish Victim

by CrownHeights.info

A man was put in cuffs and arrested Friday afternoon after he pulled a knife on a Jewish victim in Crown Heights who declined to give him cigarettes.

The unsettling incident took place around 2:00pm in the southern section of Crown Heights when the man approached a Shliach from out of town and asked for a cigarette. The Shliach declined the man, and got a surprise when the man suddenly pulled out a knife and started coming after him.

“On Friday our vol’s responded for male menacing and chasing people with a knife after they declined his request for cigarettes,” Shomrim wrote in Twitter. “Our vol’s canvassed the area and located the subject and he was promptly arrested by @NYPD71Pct who responded quickly.”

The police placed the man under arrest on charges of “Menacing with a Knife”, according to a person with knowledge of the incident.

He is back on the streets. I saw him sitting at the same spot today.

Unfortunately, the man arrested may not have been the correct person.

This man was working with someone in our Shechunah at just about the time of the incident, not leaving enough time for him to go commit this crime.

This man is not known to be a violent man at all.

Hoping the correct person is found and apprehend.

Enough of the democrats who are so proud of letting these animals back on the street!

    Two things.
One, there is a difference between working “just about the time of the incident” and “working during when the incident took place”.
Two, It may be a good idea to keep an extra pack of cigarettes around.
