17-Year-Old Shot and Killed Outside Crown Heights Apartment Building Wednesday

Another senseless murder is shaking the Crown Heights area after a 17-year-old girl was gunned down outside her Eastern Parkway apartment building.

According to the police, the girl standing with a group of people on Eastern Parkway near Rochester Ave. when two men approached them around 6:20pm riding on scooters.

At least five shots were fired and the 17-year-old was was shot in the face. It remains unknown if she was the gunman’s intended target.

The girl was rushed to Brookdale Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Assembly Member Brian Cunningham took to Twitter after the incident to decry the incident, calling it “Senseless” and “demoralizing”, before ending that “I pray for a better way”.

The incident remains under investigation and no arrests have yet been reported.

    Mr. Cunningham, you sound clueless here, when the “better way” is abundantly clear!!! End the revolving door of the “justice” system.
    Reinstate bail.
    And stop the selective non-enforcement of laws by corrupt DAs.
    Also — hire more police officers!

    Register as a Democrat, Vote in the Democratic Primary for the less socialist, more centrist candidate, then vote in General Election for a Republican who will most probably lose, but…..but…..you voted out the socialist candidate…

      As long as the people keep voting by party and not for individual candidates; as long as people keep voting the same people back again into office, stop complaining. Bragg stated he would promote social justice reform in the DA’s office that would promote criminality-yet he was voted in. Where is the continual protest and calling and letter writing to the Hohol about no bail.
