Another Package Thief In Cuffs Thanks to A Fast Acting Homeowner and Shomrim

A fast-acting homeowner and Crown Heights Shomrim are credited with nabbing another package thief who is a regular in the community.
A home surveillance camera caught the incident as it went down on Eastern Parkway Monday morning when the thief, wearing a distinctive floppy hat, wandered onto a Jewish home’s property and lifted a package from the home’s mailbox.
He got only as far as the home’s front gate.
The alert and fast-acting homeowner ran out of the house and confronted him, making him hand back over the stolen package before the man attempted to get away. But thanks to Shomrim, that was not to be.
Shomrim volunteers caught up to him just a short distance later, keeping him on scene until the police arrived. After being caught in an evasion, the police arrested the man, who allegedly is a regular handyman/landscaper in the community.
