Crown Heights Robber Forced To Post Bail In Arrest for Beating and Robbing Jewish Man

The man arrested for the beating and robbery of Crown Heights resident and activist Yosef Hershkop was forced to post bail, a questionable win in today’s Justice Reform legal system.

Darrell Cooper, 19, was arrested Thursday night at 9:15pm on charges of robbery, including a Robbery 2 involving physical injury.

In what some say is a major win in the Justice Reform legal system, Cooper was not just let out back onto the streets as is seen in most instances of crimes, and instead was forced to stand in front of a judge and post bail. He posted $10,000 bail Shabbos afternoon.

According to the police, Darrel lives at 1024 Montgomery Street, just a short distance away from the 920 Montgomery address where the assault and robbery took place.
