Thief Smashes Window of Car In Crown Heights, Apparently Without Fear or Consequences

by CrownHeights.info

It used to be that thefts were either done with class, or under the cover of darkness. If nothing else, being a thief was an embarrassment. That’s obviously no more.

A brazen thief targeted a Jewish car on Brooklyn Ave near East New York Ave between 7:00am and 9:00am Tuesday morning, smashing a window to gain entry and ransacking the car.

The car, parked while the owner was at work, was in full view of a major Crown Heights school and under the watchful eye of surveillance cameras. The thief didn’t care.

As the summer comes in, crime tends to tick upwards throughout New York city, so such crimes will likely continue to happen.

CrownHeights.info would like to remind everyone to bring in all valuables from your vehicle any time it is left unattended.
