Second Shooting in Crown Heights Leaves Man Dead

by CrownHeights.info

Just hours after a man was found fatally shot outside a Crown Heights home on Empire Blvd Monday morning, a second man was shot and killed in broad daylight just a few blocks away.

The second shooting took place around 2:00pm on Remsen Ave near the corner of E 51st Street in Crown Heights.

According to local residents, the shooting, likely gang related, left a man fatally shot. Officers and EMS responding to the scene found the man in cardiac arrest, and despite attempts to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead.

The gunshots were described by residents as being “automatic like shots”, eerily similar to another incident on the block where shots were fire at 4:00am Monday morning.

This shooting took place less than four hours after a man was found shot in the head outside a home on Empire Blvd, and just four days after a man was shot in the leg in a gang related shooting on Montgomery Street between Nostrand and Rogers.
