A chaotic scene to end the night with a massive police response and a frantic rush to the hospital.

Two officers were shot, and another stabbed in the neck in what is looking suspiciously like an ambush style attack on police officers.

It all went down at the corner of Church Ave nnd Flatbush Ave in Brooklyn around 11:45pm, where two police officers were stationed as a post.

At a press conference following the attack, NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea outlined the series of events as having started when a 20 year old male approached the two, pulled out a knife, and stabbed one of them in the neck.

In the chaotic melee that ensued, shots were fired, and a nearby Sargent rushed to the scene.

A witness to the incident told a bystander that he saw two officers bail from a car, run behind it for cover and continue shooting at the suspect.

In total, 22 shell casings were found at the scene, two officers were shot in the hand, and the suspect was shot multiple times.

The police officers and suspect were rushed to Kings County Hospital where the officers were in stable condition, and the suspect in critical condition.

According to a report, the suspect has been named as Dzenan Camovic, a Balkan region immigrant with anti police views.
