Police Apprehend Suspected Burglar – Confesses to Numerous Break-ins
Brooklyn, NY — Monday, Erev Yom Tov, Police responded to a call of a burglary in the rear of the houses on Carroll between Albany and Troy. On scene, residents came out to see the suspect attempting to flee on the rooftops of the garages in the alleyway, only to be met by a dead end alleyway, which was when he turned around and began hoping the roofs back into the other direction where he ran right into the hands of a responding police officer.

The suspect was identified by residents as the one who was in the back yards of homes attempting to open up the back doors and gates to multiple houses, while the second suspect who was also found on a garage rooftop claimed to have lived in the house to which the garage belonged, only none of the residents recognized him, until one neighbor did and he was released.
The suspect is known for other such attempts in which he managed to get away, and was identified as being 16 years old. CrownHeights.info has learned that after an interrogation the suspect confessed to as many as 16 break-ins and many other attempted break-ins in the neighborhood, one of the houses which he struck happened to be that of a police officer that lives in the neighborhood.

because this kid is 16 years old, i believe there are a number of legalities re: posting his image. regardless of what he may or may not be guilty of, you may want to reconsider this post until you find out the specifities with respect to minors for no other reason than it may significantly cause harm insofar as the trial, etc. thanks.

What is it with you and your legalities. Whats wrong with posting the picture of a “minor” on the internet. He is obviously not “minor” enough to break into houses at all hours of the day and night. The other guy who was let go is the next door neighbor, this guy landed on our roof, and when we confronted him he tryed to get in to this neighbor’s house. If we would behave like they do in williamsburg (by taking care of him ourselves before going to the police, believe me , they would not think of doing things like this to anyone in this neighborhood!!!!!!We need everyone–shomrim, the community council, to be united on this one.
