Criminals Take Advantage of Bad Weather

Police take information from three teenagers suspected of beating and mugging a Jewish teen.

Some of the city’s lower elements took advantage of the chaos caused by Hurricane Sandy and used it as a cover to commit crimes.

A Jewish teenager was mugged on Carroll St. and Albany Ave. He was walking with his head down due to the strong winds, when he was knocked to the ground and hit in the head by three perpetrators – all African American.

They made off with his iPhone and wallet.

A witness called Shomrim and attempted to call 911 as well – but could not get through.

Shomrim arrived within minutes and attempted to locate the group. They called the precinct directly and got officers to respond.

Later, Shomrim spotted a group of people who matched the descriptions given by the victim, but were forced to flag a cop down since they again could not reach the police via 911.

Shomrim also foiled an attempted car break-in on Albany Ave. and Crown St. They couldn’t reach police so they just scared the thief off.

Shomrim made multiple units available, driving around and responding to several calls from residents – keeping an eye out and keeping the community safe.

    Where is the Obama justice department when you need them? Oh that’s right, according to the racist U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, this isn’t a bias crime. After all the Jewish guy got was coming to him for having the nerve to be on the streets. These thugs that attacked him must have had a good reason. Not!     Very true these people steal and destroy our lives by their actions. Its doubt ful other administration wouldnt work to make sure this wouldnt happen to their families but when you live here and youre not the majority you become a target. Truth is Crown Heights is a terrible place to live and they who continue to destroy Americans who dont act like they do- no matter what you say Gangs and drugs run this boro -sorry we have to be punished to live here – normal people avoid the area but housing is so expensive the drug dealers are the only ones who pay rent on time.
