Tire thieves strike again - five days later. An SUV parked on Lefferts Avenue was the latest victim of the tire thieves. Once again, all four tires and rims were removed and the vehicle was left on two cinder-blocks.

Tire thieves strike again – five days later. An SUV parked on Lefferts Avenue was the latest victim of the tire thieves. Once again, all four tires and rims were removed and the vehicle was left on two cinder-blocks.

The theft occurred sometime during Wednesday night. Police were called, and the Crime Scene Unit ‘dusted’ the car for prints in attempt to identify the thief and put an end to this wave of thefts.

Please beware: Thieves tend to commit burglaries of this nature while it’s raining because there are hardly any people on the street. Please be cautious, and report any suspicious behavior to Shomrim at 718-774-3333.

    it was done some time in the early morning hours. It was not raining then.
    And its an Acura not a lexus.

    every thief looks in the car for the key to the lock nuts because everyone will need it to change the tire in case of a blow out. and a 12 point socket hammered on can remove it in no time locks are to keep honest people in line

    My car was broken into on eastern pkwy 2 weeks ago Motsei Shabbos- the window was smashed in- you would think someone would see these lowlifes and say something???

    Even with wheel locks the tires and rims can still be stolen, they just stole all the tires and rims from my car and it had wheel locks.
