Kingston Ave. Pushka Thief Apprehended
Police have apprehended a man suspected of stealing Pushkas (charity boxes) from several stores on Kingston Ave., after the suspect was spotted by a vigilant storeowner, who immediately notified the police.
The thefts have occurred over the past several weeks. Stores targeted include: Little Toes, Prime Sandwich and Everything but the Baby – where he is suspected of stealing an expensive cell phone that was on the counter as well.
Police arrived at the scene and arrested the man, a middle aged African-American male, after he was positively identified at the scene by several other storeowners.
He was brought to the 71st precinct and charged with the thefts.
