Tires Stolen Off Car on Troy Ave.

In what is becoming a regular occurrence, a car parked on Troy Ave. between Montgomery St. and Empire Blvd. had its tires stripped off by stealthy thieves late Wednesday night, leaving it suspended on crude cinder blocks.

A set of stolen tires can be sold on the black market for hundreds of dollars, making them an easy and lucrative source of income for thieves.

I saw this car without its tires days ago, this news is late. and also, what good is posting it up here supposed to do? what are other people supposed to do, nail their tires to the ground so that they aren’t stolen?

It’s not just the tires…the alloy rims on these vehicles are also outrageously expensive.
