Teenage Mugger Arrested by Police for Stealing Girl’s iPhone
Two black teenagers mugged a Jewish girl and made off with her iPhone, and thanks to police ‘beat’ cops one of the suspects was apprehended a block away.
The incident occurred at around 2:30pm on Carroll Street near Brooklyn Avenue, the girl was talking on her cell phone when two black teenagers approached her from behind, snatched her phone and fled.
Shouting for help, one passerby called 911 while another called Shomrim. By the time Shomrim arrived police already had one suspect in custody a block over.
Police took the victim down to the precinct where she positively identified one of the muggers, he was then placed under arrest for grand larceny – a felony. The phone was not recovered and one suspect is still wanted.

after hearing so many stories of the cell phone muggings i really tell my children and myself not to walk and talk on it, if you absolutely must take a call step inside a store, or simply wait till you get indoors….

lost/stolen iphone
just i wanted to say that a lost iphone was ‘located’ with find my phone on Thursday at 6:46 pm at 446 Kingston avenue (big building) between Empire/Lefferts, but after that was taken offline. It was stolen/lost at the Marketplace at around 6pm. If you have any info on it, please post, thanks. Unfortunately, even with all this technology, knowing where it is etc.. doesn’t help recover the phone.

My daughters story
She was walking along Crown Street, when suddenly she saw 2 black teenagers walking towards her and they separated, giving her the space only to walk between them. Quick thinking she managed to walk around them but walked quickly away a few steps thinking they looked suspicious. Turned back around to see what they were doing when she saw the girl behind her running to her with the 2 guys running away. That girl was slapped in the face and they grabbed her iphone. The girls called 911 and the police came very quickly.

imagine, they will blame the girl for tempting two young and innocent kids.
Truth is that these kids were not raised with any rules and/or little morals and values. How sad. What future do they have….

It’s so hard to see how many muggings are taking place in CH. I feel bad for this girl. Hope she gets her phone back soon. Moreoever, I hope she’s feeling okay. Muggings are traumatizing. I was nearly mugged once. I’ll never forget how shaken I was.
