Beis Rivka Buses Vandalized

Two of Beis Rivkas school buses were vandalized sometime late last night or today. The vandals smashed the windows on one of the buses as well as sprayed fire extinguishers, leaving the buses covered with a fire retardant powder.

The vandalism was discovered by one of the bus drivers this evening at around 5:00pm inside the Beis Rivka parking lot on Montgomery Street near Nostrand Avenue. The drivers went to prepare and check the buses ahead of the school resuming normal schedule tomorrow, but was stunned to find two of the three buses vandalized.

One bus suffered the worst of it with many of its windows smashed in. The vandals appear to have used rocks and bricks to destroy the windows and glass doors. The vandals then gained access to the bus through its emergency exits and sprayed its emergency fire extinguishers all over the bus.

The second bus was not physically damaged, there the vandals only sprayed the fire extinguisher.

Police were called and report was filed. Surveillance cameras in the areas may have captured a part of the vandalism and the footage is being currently obtained in hopes of identifying the vandals.

This is the third time this has happened -since 2005-, why aren’t there any security cameras in the parking-lot?

There should be cameras around the building in any case, not just for the safety of the buses but for the safety of our children.

    • BRHS

there are cameras all over the school and they do have it on video so dont speak before you know

  • Thank G-d!

There were no kids on the bus. I wouldn’t put it past these animals to attack our buses when the children are on them.

    Dear Parents שיח”י,

    Important to Note;

Although this bus (#310 Gadi Bus) won’t be on the road tomorrow.

A substitute bus with it’s driver (Gadi) will be running normally.

If anybody would like to volunteer to help us (Gadi and Chaim) clean the buses, please advise us. The help would be greatly appreciated.

  • a thankful mother whos daughter goes on their buses

This was not random & probably was not done by the Goyim what we now have in CH R”l is a bunch of haters & with their own agenda who claim to be “chassidim but are nothing more then thugs who not only won’t help family friends & other yidden unless they are of the correct political & financial persuasion but would rather see to it that yiddishe children be forced to stay in public school or have difficulty getting to yeshiva etc. some of them would rather see a Yiddishe children lose their yiddishkeit & stay in the hands of Goyim because the other person is not politically correct etc. Think I Am kidding look around you! It is literally happening now! & the buses being vandalized is a part of that campaign where was shomrim & Shmirah ? answer nowhere to be found even though at least one of their members drive a bus for them!!!!!!!!only if there is publicity & they can get their picture taken are they around!

    • Are you crazy?

Maybe you’re still hung over from Purim? This qualifies to be considered for the “most insane post” of 2013. Good luck, buddy!

  • bring in the reporters

where are all the news channels? im sure if this was done to a regular school bus it would be all over the news

    • Milhouse

What are you talking about? Since when does the news bother reporting on petty crime like this? Can you imagine what the news would be like if every single vandalism incident was reported?

  • to number 9

to number 9. your comment is puzzling to say the least. where were you! Shomrim mebers have families jobs and many other things going on. Where were you how come you weren’t around to stop t?! How come you didnt call 911?! you thing shomrim has someone in every parking lot in CH 24/7 ?! even the NYPD who has thousands of cops city wide cant cover every inch of the city?! you know when someone gets injured you need to call hatzalah, according to your logic why do they need to be called they should be all around?! if someone would’ve called shomrim this would have been prevented or at least most of it.

    Dear #9

Breathe In Breathe Out. Gather your thoughts and try to express them with some Chabad (Wisdom, Understanding, and Knowledge). What you wrote is a an incoherent rant.

I agree with some of what your saying but not all.

    Let’s brake this down.

    You wrote:

Fact: in this case it was done by a group of Goyim from the local public schools.

Although this time it was not Yidden (and here is where I agree with you), I would not be surprised or shocked if it were. After the Shomrim Six Mesirah nothing shocks me anymore, this is realty. There are bad Jews out there!. I would (sadly) not lose any sleep knowing that “Jews” did this.

I’m not here to stick up for myself but rather for my fellow volunteers in Shomrim.

I can ask you the same question. Where were you? Why are we more responsible for the communities safety then you are? Because we volunteer we have to be everywhere all the time? Why don’t you volunteer to protect the community and help Yidden in need?

Now to defend the bus drivers who (all three) happen to be in Shomrim and this is why they are SHOMRIM.

One driver on his day off, went to pick up a bus that was at the garage over the weekend.

The other driver (myself), on his day off went to the parking lot to prepare the bus for the next school day. That’s when he saw the damage.

We don’t do what we do (Help Yidden etc…) because were in Shomrim. Where in Shomrim because we do what we do.

Again i ask you. Why don’t you volunteer to protect the community and help Yidden in need? Where are you?
