Car Break-ins Resume with a Vengeance

Over the last week dozens of vehicles have been broken into and robbed, items like GPSs and loose change were taken. Crown Heights Shomrim received a report from one burglary victim stating that he confronted the thief and he identified him as Terrence Nelson – one of the areas most notorious recidivists.

The first reported incidents began last week in the vicinity of Empire Boulevard and Albany Avenue, multiple cars were rummaged through. Over Shabbos many more incident were reported, with one of the victims being a Hatzlah volunteer’s vehicle.

Friday night on Crown Street on vehicle owner spotted the perpetrator coming out of his vehicle and confronted him as he fled, he positively identified him as Terrance Nelson – who we last reported as being arrested in May of 2011 after being beaten by a group of Bochurim.

In his last arrest he was charged as a recidivist and was just released two weeks ago according to Shomrim.

In a Public Service Announcement Shomrim urged vehicle owners to keep their interior clean, not to leave bags or even trash behind as these are invitations for burglars.

    • Prophetess

The Prophets of old would receive visions at night and then interpret these visions for the people.

Modern day “prophets” such as serel chana maness share the stream of prophecy exactly as they received it from above, leaving the unlettered masses to decipher the message…

  • once again...

So yet again this career gonif is let go by the criminal justice system to victimize our community once again. Very nice.

  • Lemerick's brother

The Nelson “brothers” murderer and thief are out on the streets while Shlomo Rubashkin sits in jail, R”L. Just sickening.

  • mamesh a shandeh!!!!!!!

what a black mark on our justice system that lets animal off the hook again and again to terrorize the community. mamesh a shandeh!

  • Anony-mouse

This is why we need the second amendment. Because one day, this lunatic will graduate, break into the wrong home & be blown to Kingdom Come. I hope.

  • happed to us friday morning

But somehow, they managed not to crack our
Window open. They just stole a few things. Anyone else experience this?

  • Rara

My car was rummaged through last night. GPS gone. No broken window b”h. There were a pile of clothes left in the car. I never do that. Paid the price!

  • oea

It happened to both of our cars this week….embarassed to say that we didnt report it.
YES we do need to watch our tznius but we also need to take a pragmatic approach and protect our own.
We should sit and just ask people to watch their tznius? That too, but also we need to take action. This is good Jewish money being wasted. I have to spend another hundred dollars on a new GPS and other items.

  • Half Nelson

Lemerick Nelson and Terrence Nelson are not related.

One look at this Nelson’s face and you can see his mother was on drugs or drunk when carrying him. He can’t function on the outside, so he steals enough to get himself a few weeks of meals and a place to sleep.

The system has to be changed. Nelson should be subject to a three-strikes law to protect his next set of victims and save taxpayers’ money. Alternately, he needs to be in a supervised living framework where he is under guard at all times, including while paying his debt to society by clearing brush or fixing potholes at minimum wage.

The Old Williamsburgh Chaptz’em might also do some good – a quadriplegic on a ventilator would find it very hard to rob cars.

  • John

This scumbag needs to be taught a lesson he will never forget. Sometimes violence is the answer.

  • Maybe

he has been taught a lesson he will never forget and it landed him where he is today!

Thank Gd He does not deal with us this way when we do wrong to Him. I can see Him now! This parting of the waters was wasted effort and now I’m stuck with these unthankful thugs for eternity who just want to use me for what they can get out of me! They also think what they have not worked for is due them!

By the way, don’t you see, this is the change America has been awaiting for years — Don’t work, steal for a living!

By the way, didn’t they say, a truly righteous person will say, what is mine is your’s and what is your’s is your’s?

I woulden’t expect the promised one any time soon at this rate!

Gd is not obligated to part the waters a second time!
