CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — They 'injured' a car and a van, but managed to strike very little else. A dueling duo turned the intersection of Albany Avenue and President Street into their own O.K. Corral, firing over thirty shots at each other from opposite sides of the street.

Over 30 Shots Fired in Early Morning Shootout

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — They ‘injured’ a car and a van, but managed to strike very little else. A dueling duo turned the intersection of Albany Avenue and President Street into their own O.K. Corral, firing over thirty shots at each other from opposite sides of the street.

The incident unfolded at around 5:30 this morning, where two unknown assailants began exchanging gunfire as each retreated in the opposite direction of each other, their shell casings peppering the streets.

After the dust settled it seemed like no one was hurt, except two Jewish owned vehicles, a Nissan sedan which was struck multiple times, and the Road Sage Mitzvah Tank which took a single bullet.

Police received multiple calls alerting them to the shootout, and when they arrived they found the street littered with shell casings and called for an evidence collection team and detectives.

    If anyone has a problem with hipsters moving in, this is evidence that its not such a bad thing, if they are pushing elements like the ‘cowboys’ who did this out of the area.

    What we need is for Williamsburgh types to move in as the population of Willy expands and moves toward CH. The hippies tend to be trust-fund lefties with a sense of adventure who accept criminality as a “response to oppression” or an “expression of multiculturalism.”

    The police were busy with this all morning. Thats why driving and parking in crown heights was much safer and easier today. I was able to drop my kids off in school without the usual harrasment and ticket fines.

    BH nobody was hurt. But its great the police were busy with a real emergency, so that we wehere all able to breathe a little bit easier.

    What number #8 wrote is very upsetting. Why no sirens–how far is the police station from there?? They should have been there almost immediately. All we can say is Thank G-d that this occurred at the time it did when there was no real street or pedestrian traffic or parents taking their kids to school or the school busses. Now is the time for the people of Crown Heights to get certified and trainned in gun usage and have their own guns to protect themselves becuase obviously the police are not going to be there. Institutions like front sight train people on how to use firems in a safe and responsible manner so when a crries occurrs they can protect themselves and their families because the police are not going to be there.

    It was filming for a movie. They’re doing a special Warner release entitled: The Crown Heights Elections. True to Hollywood style they dramatize a little bit. The two characters were dressed as Rabbonim and this is how they were settling their dispute.

    I saw the movie trucks and cameras. Someone just forgot to tell the cops.

    Things they are a changing. there is less and less. Will there be more incidents? Yes but it is a lot less. These bad guys are less and less. Just look around and what do you see– less and less bad guys. It takes time but it is better and better
