Two Men Stabbed in Crown Heights

Blood was spilled on a Crown Heights street last night when two men were slashed at around 7:45 p.m., police said.

A 26-year-old man was sliced in the neck and stomach and a 47-year-old man in the back and chest on Bergen Street near Nostrand Avenue.

Both men were taken to Kings County Hospital. No motive had been determined last night and no arrests had been made.

Neighbor Joseph Smith, 47, said the 26-year-old victim “had some enemies.”

    why is this important & news to us?? these things go on all the time & took place outside the main shcuna etc. so again I ask why?

    Why is this “important and news to us”? Because people need to be aware of what goes on IN and AROUND our shechuna. Things are B“H much better than they used to be, but far worse than they should be! People need to be CAREFUL when they go out, AWARE of their surroundings (not ”in their own world” on a cell phone…), avoid walking alone late at night etc.

    The reason this was posted is that the people need to know that Crown Heights is an unsafe neighborhood–inspite of Bloomberg’s claims about the crime rate–and they should take precautionary care when out onj the streets. It is not for nought that there are police stationed at major and other intersections.

    “this was most prob between two gangsters” we need to learn from everything we see and hear, especially close to home. We too have “gangsters” in our community – rival groups, fighting over power, money, ideology, honor etc. We have seen mesirah. We have seen beatings. We have seen vandalism… what next? A stabbing, a shooting c“v? Learn from the ”other gangsters” not to become like them!!!
