Crown Heights Republican Committee and Community Members Announce Endorsements for New York State Elections

The Crown Heights Republican Committee (CHRC) and community members endorses Bruce Blakeman for Governor, Saritha Komatireddy for Attorney General, and Joseph Hernandez for State Comptroller.

These candidates share the CHRC’s priorities in combating antisemitism, protecting Jewish families and institutions, strengthening public safety, lowering taxes, reducing living costs, and supporting Crown Heights shuls and yeshivos.

Governor: Bruce Blakeman

Bruce Blakeman, Nassau County Executive and candidate for Governor, supports affordability, public safety, tax relief, and parental rights. With Bruce Blakeman as Governor, Jewish families won’t have to second-guess whether New York will opt into the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit program, launching in 2027. His commitment will help expand scholarship opportunities for eligible families to afford tuition at yeshivas and Jewish day schools.

At a Crown Heights press conference, Blakeman pledged to oppose the proposed 1,081-unit ‘MEGA’ homeless shelter at 681 Clarkson Avenue, which has raised concerns about safety, services, and the project’s scale. He has also pledged to address antisemitism, support public safety, and stand with Jewish communities across New York.

The CHRC believes New York needs a governor who will prioritize families, private schools, educational choice. The committee remains concerned about the future of Kingsbrook Shul in Crown Heights and the congregants’ efforts to regain access to the community’s historic synagogue.

Attorney General: Saritha Komatireddy

Saritha Komatireddy, a former federal prosecutor, has more than a decade of prosecution experience. Her campaign focuses on fighting crime, combating fraud, protecting vulnerable residents, and confronting antisemitism.

She has criticized current Attorney General Letitia James for prioritizing national legal battles over urgent concerns facing New Yorkers. Komatireddy has called for greater attention to crime victims, Medicaid and elder fraud, and protecting Jewish communities from hate crimes and violence.

State Comptroller: Joseph Hernandez

Joseph Hernandez, an entrepreneur, investor, and biotechnology leader, is campaigning on financial accountability, economic growth, and responsible government. He has pledged stronger oversight of state spending and efforts to identify waste and fraud.

The CHRC believes residents deserve transparency regarding public funding connected to the Clarkson Avenue ‘MEGA’ homeless shelter proposal and the Kingsbrook Shul controversial development. Hernandez supports greater fiscal discipline and stronger taxpayer protections.

Standing Up for Crown Heights

The CHRC supports candidates who fight antisemitism, protect Jewish families, safeguard shuls and yeshivos, strengthen public safety, lower taxes, expand educational opportunities, and make New York more affordable.

On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, let us stand united and make our voices heard for Crown Heights.

So basically the Republicans endorsed the Republicans. And the other PACS in Crown Heights who aren’t Democrat or Republican endorsed the Democrats.
