Crown Heights United Endorsement on Upcoming Elections

Some community members have already received their absentee ballots and are asking how to vote. In-person early voting begins right after Yom Tov on October 26th, and Election Day is November 5th.

There are six proposals on the ballot in New York, and we want to share what Agudas Yisroel recently sent out. We will be joining fellow frum communities in New York in recommending that everyone vote NO on all the 2024 Proposals to avoid confusion and ensure clarity.

All judges and justices in our district will be elected, as the number of candidates matches the available seats. Candidates must be nominated by the County Committee and Judicial Delegates to appear on the ballot, which has already happened. Voting for all judges and justices can’t hurt.

Crown Heights United has never endorsed in a presidential race and focuses on endorsing local elections.

The most important thing is for everyone to vote, as the media and elected officials are closely watching to see if the frum community turns out.

If you aren’t registered, there are still six days left!

Thanks for this very informative post.
    Just 1 question.
At the end of the day, are we being told to vote for Harris????
It would fall into line with previous elections.

    • “Told”?

The article says straight out, Crown Heights United has never endorsed in a presidential race.” That said, why do you need to be “told” in the first place to vote for a pro-Jewish and pro-Israel candidate, who’s already shown himself to be just that in practice, and not to vote for a Hamas sympathizer who thinks that those accusing Israel of genocide “have a point”?

    • Captain Obvious

To quote the article once again:

“All judges and justices in our district will be elected, as the number of candidates matches the available seats. Candidates must be nominated by the County Committee and Judicial Delegates to appear on the ballot, which has already happened. Voting for all judges and justices can’t hurt.”

In short – it doesn’t matter, they’re all getting elected anyway.

Vote for them if you want to be poor, remain poor, and have the entire country be poor. It would be poor judgement, too.
