From the Editor: New York State Is In Need of A “Correction”, New York State Needs Lee Zeldin As Governor

by CrownHeights.info Editor

CrownHeights.info rarely, if ever, endorses a specific candidate for public office.

As a Chabad-Lubavitch geared news website, we prefer to stay away from politics, taking the “Isolationist” route and instead focusing on the Chabad world and geographical area of Crown Heights.

This time we cannot remain as observers but must take a stand. This time “Isolationism” is not the correct path.

During the early days of this great country, the founders formulated a plan to create as fair a government as was humanly possible. To this end they utilized the concept of Free Markets and Capitalism as a means of establishing balance. In other words, the system allows for political and market opinion to sway to the “Left” or “Right” without government control. The government cannot tell you what to think, what to say, or how to vote. Instead, the further to one extreme the pendulum of the politics of the day may swing, the more likely it will be that in the next election a “correction “ and reversal of that extreme will win the day.

In this upcoming election on November 8th, a correction is badly needed.

Many of the policies put in place and many of the decisions made by the present Governor Kathy Hochul are good ones. Others however we believe are of the very bad sort that will do untold damage to the state. Yet the most important metric is the overall agenda and general direction that the elected politicians have taken. This State has shifted dramatically to one side.

In the present political climate, actions taken by politicians and parties to dismantle our accepted and important standards of society are wreaking havoc in this country. The importance of a complete home. The sanctity of life. The sanctity of the constitution. The concept of personal responsibility. All these elements that bind healthy society together are being eroded.

The Sheva Mitzvos Bnei Noach (7 Noahide Laws), established as the bedrock and fundamentals of a society, are actively being subverted. The path we are on will ultimately bring the breakup of society, with many of the signs already visible today.

In this upcoming election on November 8th, a correction is badly needed.

In this case, the correction needs to move away from the Democratic party. In this case, that means we need to elect Republican Lee Zeldin to the office of the Governor.
