As it stands now, police will be shutting down Eastern Parkway from Brooklyn to Albany along with the service lane from New York Ave for parking the floats. Following the parade the carnival along with around 30 rides was planed to take place on Empire Blvd but permission for that closure has been denied.

Kingston Ave was proposed to replace Empire, but police have still not given their final approval. Along with that, the special permits necessary to perform certain shows on Eastern Pkwy have still not been approved as well.

As it stands now the marching parade is planed to walk down Eastern Pkwy to Albany Ave then down to President St and back up Kingston Ave.

We were further told that based on whatโ€™s been going on, nothing is definite yet and can possibly change. CrownHeights.info will continue to bring the most up to date and accurate updates regarding this years parade.

if rabbai groner and the chamima are our reps we are in truble.

why is the small time captains the ones to approve the parade ?

where is the mayor , the governer ?

the prasident of the USA ?

    is this lubavitch internatioal ?

a captain of a small time corrupt precinct will be the one approve or disapprove ?

  • lizman

the mayor doesnt mix in when the police use the word “security” with that they cover themselfs against the real reason of “inspector fox’s anti semitisim”

during the labor day parade they close off the entir neighborhood no in and no ot. hundreds of streets are closed from rochester till prospect park from st johns till empire …

nu what can we do we have no pull all the politicians use us when they need us and dump us when the want to

yeah chanina had the mayor inhis house on chanukah… chaninah supported all the right candidates latisha james the person who just now got elected .. and what do we get from them ??
    nothing nothing nothing

when we need them they are not there

this mamzer fox has been the one to always badger us. and when we complain we get a ticket blitz in crown heights

ad mosai do we have to suffer in golus …
    ad mosai

  • nothing

Chanina, Eli levin, rubashkin , Jacob goldstein, rubashkin and all of them are only good for pictures.

    they get nothing good done

  • Chaim

Where is Agudas Chasedi Chabad? Did NCFJE ask them to intervine? Where is Lubavitch International? This is a big Chutzpa from the police to act this way!

  • former chvp

why doesn’t sombody speak with Issac Zellmamier he is today the most conected person in the ch today he gets thing done

  • ch resident

looks like we lost the barricades have been placed on our side of eastern parkway

  • trouble

    i agree with FORMER CHVP
but unfortunatly the egos will prevail and the communitie is the one to suffer.
This isnt about getting the job done but proving who has the most power.

  • Shalom

Hanina was not involved in this one at all. But Moshe and Dr. Lang were at the Police meetings.

Moshe should get in the photos, but he does not like publicity. Those who get photos make people think they are big machers.

    Mamesh.

Rabbi Hecht!! you rock!! dont ever stop singing professor!!

  • do something

my daughter is at bnos menachem and they jusy recieved a note today saying that the police have only approved blocking eastern parkway if there at minimum 15,000 people ON actual eastern parkway, NOT on porches etc…
apparently, there are only 4000 children in ALLL the schools. So how are we going to be guaranteed 15,000 people????? that mean absolutely everyone MUST show up, even from other neighborhoods….
it’s true, if for labor day, eastern parkway can get shut down every sinlge year, then we should for sure be able to have a little “pull” and we only do this every few years. Someone should really take some action, write to the papers etc… I agreee, those people at the community council or wherever they work, do nothing…. whenever i have called up for anything, they have been rude and unhelpful, so much so that i went out of the neighborhood for insurance… quite sad :(

Be aware! The police read this website.
I heard the commanding officer of the 17th precinct mention THIS WEBSITE at a recent meeting.

  • GOOD IDEA

well, do someth9mg, why don’t you do just that! DO SOMETHIMNG! YOU could call the media just as well as anyone else can. All it takes is liftimg the phone and call one of those TV stations that like to assist and like their reputation for solving your problem, the police won’t like the publicity. so get to it and make that phone call (or two)

  • lwg716

i realy think that we should strat now working on OPEN EASTERN PARKWAY on labor day campaign

  • crown heights riot

    GUYS

you are missing the point here

with the present police behavior i think the next crown heights riot is just around the corner.

remember where you read it first

  • BRHS-er

btw, it’s true they are expecting 15,000 people to show up in order to close the parkway. makes sense….but we would like to have it our way. also, they told police taht by the rebbe it was always open, why the change. so they said , yes the rebbe ‘was” a holy man and we did it when he was here. but now that he’s not (here b’gashmius taht we can see him) they are not so eager to do it. hello, we got to prove to themm that lubavitch is alive, the rebbe is alive and that ‘gimmel tammuz didn’t change a thing!’ this is a war against lubavitch and we need to really work hard at this. Make sure every person you know that is able to come should be there earlier tahn the parade is supposed to start so they police will open up everything right away and the parade will be able to start on time
hope to see everyone tehre- so that all the work/ effort the organizers put into this parade will not be for naught. Yasher Koach to them and MOSHIACH NOW!

  • Thanks

Chanina Sperlin is the one who got us the permit to close off Eastern Parkway, thank you Chanina.

  • sydney

menachem you are a great guy putting in all your effort to lag baomer! may you continue to do this and know only brochos in your life!

  • raedy to go

I Think we should have a sit in on eastern parkway and kingston on labor with our children and entire community to protest this 1 sided bias treatment from the 71st precint. Maybe a little video montage of the officers from our precint talking on there cell phones while they are driving in CH over the past 4 months. I hope these tapes dont fall into the hands wabc or nbc or cbs.Oh what will the dark commander of the 71st do!!!

  • YItz

Sorry the the reality check, but Hanina had little to do with the police permit. The police do not listen to him, but his assistants promote the myth anyhow.

This was all Goldstein, Hecht, and the others who don’t get in photo ops.

  • smells fishy

I don’t get it, the police opened everything up for the Rebbe, and now nothing, something doesn’t sound right.

  • Shochor

we should all paint our faces shochor and then they would close the street for us and do anything we wanted them to do

  • anonymous

REality is if 300 people would show up at the 71st Precinct Council meeting the month befor the Lag Bomer Parade and demand the closing the police would give in a second
