Bochurim Worldwide Learn the Rebbe’s Kinus HaShluchim Sicha

With the Kinus HaShluchim happening in Crown Heights, Bochurim in Yeshivos around the world are participating in a most fitting way: by learning the Sicha the Rebbe said at the opening of the Kinus, on Shabbos Parshas Chayei Sarah 5752.

From the very first Kinus, the Rebbe’s Shabbos Farbrengen served as its official opening, and the Rebbe devoted much of it to the Shluchim and their Shlichus. This Sicha, later edited by the Rebbe and printed as Kuntres “Shlach Na B’yad Tishlach,” is learned anew by Shluchim every year.

In it, the Rebbe sets out the foundation of Shlichus. Through the Shlichus of Eliezer, eved Avraham, the Rebbe explains what a Shliach is al pi Torah: “shlucho shel adam kemoso,” the Shliach stands in the place of the one who sent him.

The Rebbe then turns to our generation. All the work of the Shluchim, spreading Torah and Yiddishkeit and the wellsprings of Chassidus, has been accomplished; what remains is one final Shlichus, to prepare the world for the Geulah. Every detail of a Shliach’s work, the Rebbe says, must be permeated with this.

To bring the Sicha to every Bochur, a full set of materials has been prepared: the Sicha in the original with an English translation alongside, a summary, and a short multiple-choice test in English or Yiddish.

Every Bochur who learns the Sicha and passes the test will be entered into raffles for Seforim, a silver becher and gift cards.

Tests are to be completed by Motzei Shabbos Parshas Toldos, and the raffle will be held the following Monday night.

Many Yeshivos have already joined, having Seder Sichos with the Bochurim learning this Sicha.

The Sicha, translation and all materials are available at tinyurl.com/Chayeisara52. To make sure your Yeshivah is a part, email expressway358@gmail.com or call (347) 770-2824.
