New Shluchim to Midtown Miami
Rabbi Mendel and Rochie Gopin have joined Chabad at Midtown Miami as new Shluchim, working alongside Head Shliach Rabbi Shmuel Gopin to strengthen and expand Jewish life in the growing community.
Two years earlier, Rabbi Shmuel and Chana Gopin were joined by Rabbi Mendel and Libby Potash, who run the Jewish Business Network, expanding Chabad at Midtown’s work with the local business community.
Mendel grew up in Chabad at Midtown, which his father founded and leads. After living in Crown Heights, Mendel and Rochie have now made their home in Midtown, bringing energy, passion and dedication to reach more Yidden throughout Midtown, Edgewater, Wynwood and the Design District.
Their new shlichus comes as Midtown’s Jewish community continues to flourish, with a growing demand for more connection, more Mitzvos and vibrant programming for individuals and families.
The Gopins will establish YJF—Young Jewish Families—a dedicated chapter focused on the needs of growing families. They will also continue taking an active role in Chabad at Midtown’s existing programs and in CYP—Chabad Young Professionals.
For years, Chabad at Midtown has been a vibrant home for Jewish life, learning and community. Mendel and Rochie’s arrival will strengthen its capacity to welcome every individual and family with warmth and joy, while creating new opportunities for meaningful Jewish connection.
To launch these new initiatives, Chabad at Midtown has begun a $50,000 campaign. Friends and community members are invited to partner in this new chapter and help build the future of Jewish families in Midtown.
