A First at the Kinus: CKids Launches Camp Canteen for Shluchim

In a first-of-its-kind initiative at the Kinus Hashluchim, Merkos 302, in partnership with CKids Gan Yisroel overnight camps and their affiliates, is bringing the spirit of summer camp to the Kinus with the launch of the CKids Canteen, located in the former Crown Heights Community Council storefront at 387 Kingston Avenue. .

The CKids Canteen will serve as the distribution center for hundreds of thousands of dollars in camp vouchers and scholarships, available to shluchim who visit the canteen during the Kinus.

Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky of Merkos 302 explained the vision behind the initiative, “just knowing how dear the experience of overnight camp is to the Rebbe. As the Rebbe taught, the impact of a child’s experience at camp is unlike anything they can experience throughout the rest of the year”. Guided by this vision, Merkos 302 together with financial benefactors are making a significant investment to bring the transformative experience of CKids Gan Yisroel overnight camp to hundreds of additional children in communities around the world.

Shluchim are encouraged to stop by the CKids Canteen, receive vouchers and scholarships, and bring them back to children in their communities.

The canteen will also be offering special gift packages for shluchim to bring home to their children.

All shluchim are encouraged to make the CKids Canteen a priority stop during the Kinus, take advantage of this generous scholarship opportunity, and help bring the magic of overnight camp to even more children.
