Mivtza Torah 5787 Launched at YTTL Queens
On Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan, Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch Queens held a special gathering in zal, for the launch of Mivtza Torah 5787. Tremendous hislahavus was felt as bochurim rev-up for Zman Choref seizing the opportunity to ‘cash-in’ their Chayud’dike Tishrei into daily hasmada, yegiah, and a geshmak in learning.
The program opened with the Menahel, Rabbi Yossef HaCohen Hendel, who invited Rabbi Mendel Yusewitz to share words of hisorerus. In a fiery address, Rabbi Yusewitz expanded on the tremendous geshmak and ahavah the Rebbe has for Torah, whilst inspiring the bochurim to carry the excitement of Simchas Torah into their daily limud haTorah. He shared anecdotes illustrating the gevaldige Nachas the Rebbe has from watching a bochurs hasmada!
The bochurim were then treated to an exciting address by guest speaker Rabbi Asher Vaaknin, followed by Rabbi Menachem Mendel HaCohen Hendel, Menahel Kloli of the mosdos, who introduced a screening of last year’s successful journey following the footsteps of the Rishonim in France and tracing the Rebbe’s Hatzalah route, including Paris, Vichy, and Nice. The video brought back the special memories of the trip and gave the bochurim a taste of the tremendous ruchniyus and chayus that comes with such an experience.
The highlight of the evening was the launch of this year’s Mivtza Torah by Rabbi Yossef HaCohen Hendel, who unveiled the exciting goal: a special trip together to Eretz Yisroel for the bochurim who meet the mivtza’s goals. To make the mivtza clear, accessible, and easy to follow, Rabbi Hendel presented a new tracking program that allows every bochur to keep track of his points and progress, with all the details laid out in a beautifully prepared brochure.
The bochurim left the zal energized and excited, each with a clear path to success and a renewed drive to grow in Torah, bringing nachas to the Rebbe and preparing for the of Moshiach Tzidkeinu.
