Connection Point Brings Tishrei with the Rebbe to the Classroom

As part of the Connection Point program, more than 40 Lubavitch schools participated in a special Tishrei initiative, bringing the experience of Tishrei with the Rebbe directly into their classrooms.

Each day of Tishrei, students watched carefully selected footage of the Rebbe from that corresponding day, with videos tailored for both younger and older grades. Each video was accompanied by a question designed to deepen students’ engagement with what they had watched.

The daily videos were made available through a dedicated mini-site, providing schools with easy access to the program throughout the month.

From the Rebbe receiving panim before Rosh Hashanah to selecting his lulav before Sukkos, students were able to experience special moments with the Rebbe throughout Tishrei.

In honor of Vov Tishrei, Connection Point launched the first Foundations program of the new school year, specially designed for students in grades 1–5.

Through an engaging, age-appropriate film, students learned about the Rebbe’s parents, Harav Levi Yitzchak and Rebbetzin Chana, and their experiences in Golus in Chi’ili, Kazakhstan. Featuring footage filmed on location in Chi’ili, the film took students to the very places where the Rebbe’s parents lived and spent their days, bringing their Golus and Mesiras Nefesh to life.

More than 40 schools participated in this special Vov Tishrei program as well.

The feedback from schools has been enthusiastic, with teachers sharing how the programs really impacted their classrooms:

Mrs. Yudit Kasowitz of Cheder Menachem Kingston says: “We have been watching the Tishrei clips by lunch. They were phenomenal at bringing the Tishrei-by-the-Rebbe atmosphere into the school. The clips were just the right amount of time to make it doable.”

Rabbi Yossi Evers of Oholei Torah says: “My teachers loved using the site and used it every day. It really brought Tishrei into the classrooms in a real way.”

Rabbi Shalom Bonnardel of Lubavitch Educational Center Elementary Boys: “Connection Point at LEC is going amazing. The students are really engaged, and the teachers love it.”

Connection Point 5787 is made possible by Yossi and Nechama Dina Katz and Family, and the members of the JEM Foundation.
