Sydney Community Unites to Celebrate Simchas Beis Hashoeva

Back for its third year in a row, Tzemach Tzedek Community Centre and partnering organizations hosted its annual communal Simchas Beis Hashoeva Celebration.

Despite a rainy forecast, the event was held under clear skies, with hundreds turning up to participate. The ‘Simchas Beis Sukkot Dance Celebration’ continues to be an annual Sydney Sukkot cornerstone, growing each year, with plans for further expansion for next year.

The event was organised by Rabbi Menachem Spielman of Tzemach Tzedek Community Centre, beginning with a children’s rally led by Tzivos Hashem’s Rabbi Yehuda Straiton, followed by all-ages communal dancing, a BBQ, pareve gourmet gelato from Sydney’s high-end gelato experts DAÄS Gelato, à la carté fries from Soul Gourmet, a dance floor for teenagers, and children’s entertainment.

Over this Sukkos, Lulav and Esrog were shaken at the Tzemach Tzedek Sukkah-Mobile by hundreds of people, thanks to the mivtzoyim efforts of Rabbi Straiton, the Shluchim to Tzemach Tzedek / Yeshivas Levi Yitzchok (YLY), and additional volunteers.

The event was held in partnership with Chabad of Bondi, Beth Yoseph Synagogue, Jewish Family Centre, Dover Heights Synagogue, Chabad Youth NSW, Adass Israel Congregation, Kehillat Moriah, CTeen, Chabad CBD, Cremorne Synagogue, and Coogee Synagogue.

Tzemach Tzedek expresses its thanks to CSG, Hatzolah, NSW Police, Yeshivas Levi Yitzchok Sydney, the Spielman family, the Deitz/Levin family (in memory of Yehuda Aryeh Leib ben Mordechai Halevi), and all of our vendors and volunteers.
