BDE: Rabbi Levi Tenenbaum, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Rabbi Levi Tenenbaum OBM, a local Mashpia and resident of Crown Heights.

Rabbi Tenenbaum was the son of Rabbi Yosef Menachem Mendel Tenenbaum ע״ה, the longtime בעל תוקע at Beis Chayeinu—770, and the son-in-law of Rabbi Yehuda Leib Groner ע״ה, the Rebbe’s longtime secretary.

Rabbi Levi was a longtime educator and mashpia in the Crown Heights community. He served on the staff of Cheder Ohr Menachem and as a mashpia at Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Chovevei Torah. He was also a בעל תוקע at 770 for a number of years, continuing a family tradition associated with his father’s decades of service at the Rebbe’s minyan.

The levaya will take place today, Thursday, passing by 770 at approximately 2:30pm.
