Women Worldwide To Deepen Bitachon Through Chassidus
Women around the world will begin learning a new sugya devoted to Bitachon, bringing the subject into the rhythms and pressures of daily life.
Dach L’Noshim, the women’s Chassidus academy of Merkos 302’s Kolel L’lomdei Dach, is opening registration for its new Bitachon cycle. The program gives women the opportunity to learn Chassidus seriously and consistently within the responsibilities of family, work and Shlichus.
Dach L’Noshim was created to make this type of learning possible for women with busy schedules. The program includes guided chavrusa learning, classes and farbrengens, together with a group of women around the world learning the same material. The weekly schedule consists of one hour of focused chavrusa learning and two additional 30-minute sessions. The sources are translated, summarized and introduced clearly, allowing women with different learning backgrounds to study the concepts in depth.
Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302, says the program grew from the need for a serious framework where women could pursue in-depth Chassidus learning, inspired by the Rebbe’s teachings. “For years, women have been seeking a way to fulfill the Rebbe’s vision for them to learn Chassidus in depth,” he said. “Our goal is to support them with a framework that allows them to delve into and draw inspiration from the Rebbeim’s teachings while carrying the responsibilities of family and communal life.”
For the women participating, having a set framework and chavrusa has helped make Chassidus part of their regular lives. One participant described Dach L’Noshim as “an incredibly enriching experience,” explaining that “the depth of the concepts we learn, and especially the way they are brought into practical Avodah, has given me new perspectives and tools that continue to impact my daily life.” The participant’s name, location and relevant context should be added before publication. She added that the teachers have a gift for making deep ideas in Chassidus meaningful and relevant to everyday life.
Mrs. Shani Paltiel, Dach L’Noshim program coordinator and Shlucha in Manhasset, New York, says the goal is for women to engage personally with what they are learning. “This isn’t simply about sitting back and listening to a class. It’s about building a real connection with what you learn, understanding it deeply and allowing it to shape family and communal life,” she explains. The schedule was specifically created with women’s lives in mind. “We set this up so women can immerse themselves in Chassidus without having to step away from family life. You really can do both.”
