The Chief Rabbi of Russia, HaGaon Rabbi Berel Lazar, Voted in the Parliamentary Elections
“Participating in the vote is not merely a right—it is a civic duty,” the Chief Rabbi told journalists after casting his ballot. “Every individual’s vote shapes the future of the entire nation. It is no coincidence that the elections are held in such close proximity to Rosh Hashanah; one must internalize that so much hinges on their personal choices.”
Rabbi Lazar added that every time he exercises his right to vote, he feels part of a broader endeavor that, with God’s help, will improve the lives of all citizens.
